Boscawen, NH - Jason A. Auprey (53) died suddenly at Concord Hospital on Saturday, June 28, 2025.
Jason was born in Concord, NH, on August 12, 1971 to Robert and Gwendolyn Auprey (Hodgdon). He was proud to be a Leo, the sign known for its fiery energy, passion, generosity, and natural leadership qualities. He grew up in Boscawen and attended Merrimack Valley High School. Although he lived elsewhere at times throughout his adult life, he was happy to “come full circle” and return to Boscawen in 2021.
Jason worked as a saw operator at Momentum Manufacturing Group Engineered Extrusions, LLC (Vitex) in Franklin, NH, for 31 years. Throughout those years, he made many friends and was a mentor for others. He was well-respected for his work ethic and loyalty to the company.
Jason was an avid Boston sports fan that was knowledgeable about all teams and players. He liked cooking and being a “foodie”, enjoyed watching wrestling, and loved to listen to all genres of music. He enjoyed traveling, and visited Cozumel, Cancun, the Grand Cayman Islands, the Bahamas, the Dominican Republic, and his favorite, Jamaica. He had the ability to turn a stranger into a friend in a matter of moments with his charismatic personality. He will be missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Jason is survived by his wife, Lisa M. Smith; his son, Dylan Auprey of Sioux Falls, SD; his stepson, Thomas Dwyer of Boscawen, NH; his father, Robert Auprey, Sr., of Penacook, NH; his brother, Robert Auprey, Jr. of Sanbornton, NH; his sister, Robin Auprey; and his sister, Vanessa Reynolds. His rescue dog, Sadie, his pup, Bonnie, and his cat, Clyde, will also miss his love and treats. He was predeceased by his mother, Gwendolyn.
A celebration of life will be held at the Franklin Elks Lodge No. 1280, 125 S. Main Street, Franklin, NH, on Sunday, August 10 from 12:00 PM - 3:00 PM. Family and friends will have an opportunity to share their memories at 1:00 PM. Please visit neunfuneralhomes.com to view an online memorial or leave a message of condolence.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be dedicated in his name to Pope Memorial SPCA.
