Mrs. Janet (Yacopucci) LaRoche of Franklin, NH, died on August 31, 2014 following a period of declining health. Born Jan. 22, 1922 in Erie, PA, she moved to Franklin at a young age, attending St. Mary School and Franklin High School, where she was the Valedictorian of the class of 1939. She also attended Regis College in Massachusetts. She married Normand L. LaRoche on Aug. 8, 1949. He preceded her in death on Oct. 18, 1977. Prior to her marriage, she worked for Public Service of NH and also helped in her father's business, the Franklin Spa. She worked as a secretary to the principal of Rowell School in Franklin for many years, retiring in 1987. Following retirement, she volunteered at the Peabody Home. She enjoyed gardening, reading, and craft shows. She was a communicant of St. Paul Catholic Church in Franklin. Janet is survived by her children, Carl LaRoche (Linda) of Arlington, VA, Judi LaRoche Levy of McLean, VA, Christine LaRoche Ashbaugh (John) of Houston, TX, and one grandchild, Matthew Ryan Ashbaugh. At her request, there will be no calling hours. A Mass of Christian Burial celebrating Janet's life will be held Friday, Sept. 5, 2014 at 10 at St. Paul Church in Franklin.
