Mrs. Jacqueline ?Jackie? T. Simpson, 79, of Northfield, died peacefully at her home on June 3, 2008 surrounded by her children and grandchildren. She was born in Franklin on April 27, 1929 the daughter of Irvin and Bernadette (Hebert) LaBelle. She was a graduate of Franklin High School with the Class of 1947. She resided in Northfield most of her life. Several years ago, she worked at the former Franklin Spa. She worked for many years as a supervisor at Beede Electric in both Penacook and Northfield prior to retiring. Jackie was a communicant of St. Mary of The Assumption Church in Tilton. She was active in the Parish often assisting with cooking and helping other parishioners. She was the widow of Roy Simpson who died in 1976. Family members include two daughters: Donna Simpson-Smith of New Bern, NC and Jan Simpson of Newburyport, MA; 4 sons: Ronald Simpson of Northfield, Lester Simpson of Meredith, Robert Simpson of Northfield, and Richard Simpson of Ballston Spa, NY, 5 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren, 2 brothers: Richard LaBelle of Plymouth and Robert LaBelle of Northfield, a sister, Cecile Kinney of Kokomo, IND, and nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother Ernest, a sister Natalie, and a grandson, Matthew Simpson. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, June 6th at 11:00 am in St. Mary of The Assumption Church, Chestnut St., Tilton. Burial will follow in St. John Cemetery, Tilton. There are no visiting hours. Donations in memory of Jackie may be made to Assumption Church, Chestnut St., Tilton, NH 03276.
