Haywood ""Mickey"" Johnson, Jr

OBITUARY Haywood ""Mickey"" E. Johnson, Jr., 77, a resident of NH Veterans Home, died there on Oct. 27, 2011. He was born in Philadelphia on May 28, 1934 the son of Haywood E. Johnson, Sr. and Ruth (Gregory) Johnson. He attended Millersburg (KY) Academy and graduated from the General Motors Institute. In Jan. 1952, he enlisted in the US Navy. During his Naval Service, he was aboard the LST, the USS Talbot #1153. Following his discharge, he was a manager at the Buick Foundry in Flint, MI for several years. He later was in international sales for Hickman-Williams in PA. Family members include his wife, Barbara (York Sargent) Johnson of Manchester, 2 children: Jeffrey M. Johnson of Stockton, CA and Jennifer L. Johnson of Allentown, PA, stepchildren: Andy Sargent (Patty) of Windham, Peter Sargent of St. Louis, Mary Sargent (Karen Furtado) of Windham, and John Ben Sargent (Paola) of Cypress, TX, 5 step-grandchildren, and his former wife, Dorothy Dotterer of Allentown, PA. Funeral services will be held Monday, Oct. 31, 2011 at 10 am at NH Veterans Cemetery, Daniel Webster Hwy, Boscawen. A memorial gathering will be held at Birch Hill Terrace (Hillcrest Terrace), 200 Alliance Way, Manchester, NH 03102 on Sunday, Oct. 30, 2011 at 4:00 pm. Donations in memory of Mr. Johnson may be made to Windham Presbyterian Church, 1 Church Rd., Windham, NH 03087.
