Harold Jones

Harold "Buck" C. Jones, 87, of Hill, died at his home on July 8, 2013. He was born in Hill on Jan. 13, 1926 the son of Cecil and Maude Greenwood (Clark) Jones. Mr. Jones was a lifelong resident of Hill. During World War II, he served in the US Army serving in the European Theater of Battle. Several years ago, he worked for The National Needle Company in Hill and was later employed at the NH Veterans Home in Tilton for many years prior to retiring. Harold enjoyed gardening and enjoyed the outdoors and bird watching. He was an avid reader who acquired many self-taught skills over the years. Family members include his nephews: Mark Vachon, Fred Jones, Harold Jones, Linda Jones, and Randy Marsh, all of Hill, Rick Marsh, of California, and nieces, Misha Bozarth of Sweden and Donna Courtemanche of Templeton, MA. A graveside service will be held Saturday, July 20, 2013 at 11 am in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Hill, NH. Donations in memory of Mr. Jones may be made to the NH Veterans Home, 139 Winter St., Tilton, NH 03276.
