With hearts full of love and gratitude for a life beautifully lived, we share the passing of Gloria C. Lavertu (Gerlarneau), age 92, who departed this life peacefully on September 7, 2026, with her loving family by her side. Born in Franklin, NH, she was a devoted wife, sister, auntie, and friend whose warmth and joyful spirit touched all who knew her. Gloria was known for her infectious smile, love of laughter, and her talent for creating nature‑inspired paintings under the instruction of American artist Robert Ross.

Gloria is survived by her cherished great‑nieces and great‑nephew-Paula Lewis (Mitch), Karen Colburn (Kent), and Frank Gerlarneau (Shelley)-whom she considered as her own children. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews and her extended family of great-nieces and great-nephews. She is also remembered by her companion, Leon Trottier, Jr.

She was predeceased by her husband of 65 years, Joseph R. Lavertu; her parents, Frank A. and Marie D. (Fortier) Gerlarneau; her siblings, Frank Gerlarneau Jr., Robert Gerlarneau, and Annette Archibald; and her nephew, David Gerlarneau, who was like a brother to her.

A graveside service will be held Monday, September 21, 2026, at 1:00 PM at Park Cemetery, Tilton, NH. Family and friends are invited to attend.
