Franklin, NH Mr. Gerard J. Therrien, 89, of Franklin, died at Concord Hospital on Jan. 3, 2011. He was born in Franklin on Aug. 19, 1921 and resided here most of his life. During World War II, he served in the US Army. Mr. Therrien worked as a baker for many years, including owning his own bakery in Manchester, NH and working for Polly Susan Bakery. He also was a construction worker assisting with the construction of many local projects including Franklin Falls Dam and St. Paul Church. He was a member and Past Commander of Franklin VFW Post 1698, a member of Franklin American Legion, and was a communicant of St. Paul Church. Family members include his children: Jim Keyser and wife Helen of Northfield, John J. Therrien and wife Karene of Hopkinton, G. William Therrien of Franklin, David D. Therrien and wife Barbara of Franklin, Cathy Therrien and Mike Cote of CA., Gary Therrien and wife Kathy of East Andover, Bonnie Chapman and husband Michael of CA, and Diane Bean and husband Larry of Sanbornton, a sister, Lorrette Mello of Brookline, MA, a brother, Armand Therrien of Concord, 12 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, and nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife, Pauline (Lessor) Therrien who died in 1996, and children Paul, Linda, and Edward. Visiting hours will be Thursday (Jan. 6th) from 5-8:00 pm at Thibault-Neun Funeral Home, 143 Franklin St., Franklin, NH. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, Jan. 7th at 11:00 am in St. Paul Church. Graveside burial services will be Saturday, Jan. 8th at 1:00 pm in St. Mary Cemetery, Swanton, VT.
