Gerald Collins

Biography MANCHESTER - Gerald (Chip) Collins, 80, of Manchester, died peacefully on Jan. 30, 2015. Gerry was active in baseball and was a youth coach for most of his life, as well as being an outstanding athlete himself, and was an avid fan of Notre Dame football. He was also a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. He was predeceased by his mother, Genevieve Parker Collins, and his father, James Collins. He leaves two sons, Gregory Collins of Manchester and Jay Collins also of Manchester; three grandchildren, Dr. Derek Collins of Loveland, Colo., Shawna Collins of Manchester, and Nicholas Brunet of Honolulu, Hawaii. There are no calling hours and a private service will be set at a later date.
