Eva Racine St. Jacques, 93, formally of Franklin died at her daughter’s home in Bedford on July 18, 2024. She went straight to heaven and was wrapped in God’s arms. She was born in Laconia NH on September 22, 1930, the daughter of Emile and Malvina Guilmette Racine. She was a graduate of Tilton Northfield High School and resided in Franklin most of her life.
Several years ago, Eva worked at Franklin Savings Bank and later as a bookkeeper for the City of Franklin Water Department. She was a former substitute teacher at Tilton Northfield High School.
Eva was lastly employed as a Credit Officer at Franklin Regional Hospital prior to retiring. She was also on the Franklin Regional Hospital Auxiliary where she worked as an Executive Secretary. She was also a Hospice Volunteer for Franklin Regional Hospital. She was a lifetime member of Franklin VFW Post # 16988 Ladies Auxiliary.
Eva was a lifelong communicant of St. Mary of the Assumption Church. She received a certificate of merit for a lifetime dedication to the music ministry. She was a member of the church choir. She served as a Eucharist Minister. She was also a volunteer for Habit Humanity.
She was predeceased by her husband, Arthur J. St. Jacques who died on September 9, 2011. She also is predeceased by her sisters Pearl Kenyon and Arlene North.
Her family includes her children, Lori Ann St. Jacques and her husband Phil Pichette of Bedford, NH, son, Arthur Armand St. Jacques of Andover. Two grandchildren Charles Joseph St. Jacques and his wife Taylor of Andover, Kellie Jean Young and her husband Tyler, also of Andover, one great grandson, Ricky Young and also several nieces and nephews.
Eva and her sisters, Arlene and Pearl were known as the as the “Gabor Girls” they were stunningly beautiful, full of so much life and fun. They all danced the Jitterbug when they were young and continued this practice until the end. It was an irresistible passion dancing with my mother!
Eva loved her children and grandchildren and worshipped the ground they walked on. It was an honor and a privilege to be her daughter, to have cared for her the past 13 years of her life. During this time, she enjoyed trips to the ocean, to the lake, as well as many restaurants and seafood dinners. In earlier years she went to Florida to vacation in the winter. She loved enjoying the outside.
She was a beautiful vibrant woman with a fun and loving spirit. She was always a ray of sunshine to all who knew her. She was always there to help someone regardless of what it was. She always had that magic love about her that always made her glow.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Saturday, August 17, 2024 at 9:30am at Ste. Marie Church, 378 Notre Dame Ave, Manchester, NH. Interment will be held at a later date at the Veteran’s Cemetery.
