Biography Ernest F. Belliveau, 93, of Tilton, formerly of Franklin, died at Carlyle Place in Bedford on Sept. 3, 2016. He was born in Plessisville, PQ, Canada on July 13, 1923 the son of Herve and Eva (Bergeron) Beliveau. Ernest was raised in Franklin and graduated from Franklin High School in 1941. He served in the US Marine Corps from 1943 until 1946 as a Staff Sgt. having served in Japan. For 38 years, Ernest worked for the US Postal Service lastly as supervisor of the West Franklin Post Office. He was a communicant of St. Gabriel Parish in Franklin and was a 50 year Fourth Degree member of the Knights of Columbus Assembly and a member of the Knights of Columbus Council #12147. Ernest enjoyed baseball and played on several local teams. He also operated E.F.Belliveau Fine Printing for years printing tickets, ribbons, and other items. He also enjoyed playing golf and cards. Family members include his wife of 67 years, Lorraine (Gilman) Belliveau of Tilton, 4 sons: David E. Belliveau of Manchester, Dennis A. Belliveau and wife Diane of Manchester, Richard S. Belliveau and wife Sue of Webster, and Kevin P. Belliveau of Tilton, 2 grandchildren: Elizabeth Ham and husband Chris and Edward Belliveau and wife Elizabeth, a great grandson, James Belliveau, a sister: Rita Boudreau of Tilton, a brother, Joseph Herve Belliveau of Franklin, and nieces and nephews. Visiting hours will be held Thursday, Sept. 8, 2016 from 5-7 pm at Thibault-Neun Funeral Home. 143 Franklin St., Franklin. A Mass celebrating Ernest's life will be held Friday, Sept. 9, 2016 at 10 am in St. Paul Church, Franklin. Burial will follow at NH Veterans Cemetery, Boscawen.
