OBITUARY Tilton, NH Mr. Elmer H. Brock, Jr., 82, a longtime Tilton resident, died at Mtn. Ridge Genesis Eldercare in Franklin on Feb. 14, 2012. Mr. Brock was born in Franklin on May 5, 1929 the son of Elmer H. Brock Sr. and Angie (Ackerman) Brock. He was raised in Franklin and attended Franklin High School. During World War II and Korea, he served in the US Army and was a recipient of The Purple Heart. Mr. Brock worked at Allied Tannery in Penacook and Tilton many years ago. For several years, he worked at Laconia State School and later at Lakes Region General Hospital prior to retiring. Family members include his 3 children: Wayne H. Brock of Tilton, Richard P. Brock Sr. and his wife Dorothy of Concord, and Marilyn Slocum of Concord, 4 grandchildren: Brenda Slocum, Amanda Brock, Jessica Brock, and Richard ""DJ"" Brock, Jr., all of Concord, 3 sisters: Phyllis Mosher of Franklin, Myrna Tenney of Northfield, and Marion Colburn of FL, a brother-in-law, Albert Dickinson, and nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife, Ethel (Walker) Brock who died in 1986, and a son, Kenneth G. Brock who died last July. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 22nd at 1:00 pm at Paquette-Neun Funeral Home, 104 Park St., Northfield. A visiting hour will be held one hour prior to the service (12:00 -1:00 pm). Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery, East Andover in the spring. Donations in memory of Mr. Brock may be made to Tilton-Northfield Fire Dept., 12 Center St., Tilton, NH 03276.
