Ellen Cournoyer

Franklin, NH? Mrs. Ellen M. Cournoyer, 92, of Franklin, died at Franklin Regional Hospital on July 11, 2010. She was born in Franklin on Dec. 23, 1917 the daughter of Charles and Elizabeth (Jubert) Marion. Mrs. Cournoyer was a lifelong Franklin resident and was a graduate of St. Mary School and Franklin High School, Class of 1936. She was employed for many years at the former Judkins & Wallace Co. in Franklin. She was last employed by Scott Jewelry Store in Concord. Mrs. Cournoyer assisted as a Den Mother in the local Boy Scouts and was also a Girl Scout Leader. She was the widow of Leon A. Cournoyer who died in 1983. She was a lifetime communicant of St. Paul Church and was a member of the St. Anne Solidarity. Family members include her children and spouses: Mary Ellen C. Shaw of Salisbury, Leo J. Cournoyer of Pittsfield, ME, and Charles A. Cournoyer of Franklin, 7 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, and nieces and nephews. Visiting hours will be Thursday, July 15th from 5-8 pm at Thibault-Neun Funeral Home, 143 Franklin St., Franklin. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, July 16th at 11:00 am in St. Paul Church. Burial will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery.
