Obituary

Douglas Earl Stoddard, known to most as Doug, passed away from a brief illness on February 24, 2026.

He was born to Sidney Gray Stoddard and Barbara Eva Whitehouse in Laconia NH on September 28, 1949.

He had one older brother Ronald Stoddard who, along with his parents, predeceased him. Doug graduated from Winnisquam Regional High School in 1968. He worked at Watts Regulator for over 20 years and retired in 2012.

Doug lived in Franklin NH most of his life with his wife of 50 years. He had a wonderful sense of humor and loved to tease and joke with others. He enjoyed being outdoors, playing cribbage, frisbee, sports, puzzles, and taking care of the many dogs he had throughout his life. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family. He was a kindhearted selfless hardworking man and he will be severely missed.

He is survived by his wife Susan (Joyce) Stoddard, his 2 sons Jason Stoddard and Michael Stoddard, his daughter Michelle Taylor with spouse Nathaniel Taylor and granddaughter Trinity Taylor, and his niece Christine Acevedo with spouse Frank Acevedo.

Calling hours will be held at the Thibault-Neun Funeral home in Franklin on Monday March 2nd from 12-2 with services immediately following.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Alzheimer's Association or charity of your choice.
