Dorothy Thompson

FRANKLIN -- Dorothy K. Thompson, 91, died Jan. 28, 2011, at Mountain Ridge Genesis Eldercare. She was born in Franklin, March 23, 1919, to Timothy and Harriet (Huntoon) Moynihan. She was raised in Hardwick, Vt., and resided in Franklin since her marriage. She was a graduate of Hardwick Academy. Several years ago, she worked at Pinkham Supermarket and Larry's Pastry Shop, both formerly in Franklin. She was the widow of Elwood L. Thompson, who died July 17, 2010. Family members include her two daughters, Harriet England of New London and Jean Thompson of Franklin; a grandson; a sister, Marjorie Dumbar of East Hardwick, Vt., and nieces and nephews.
