FRANKLIN -- Dorothy M. McAdams, 91, died Dec. 17, 2010, at Merrimack County Nursing Home. She was born in Mexico, Maine, Feb. 20, 1919, to Charles and Josephine (McIver) Proctor. While at Franklin High School, she was a member of the basketball team. She worked at Sulloway Hosiery Co., Merrimack County Nursing Home. and for 25 years at Tilton Dress Co. She was a communicant of St. Paul Church was a member of the former Court Annie Nesmith of Catholic Daughters of America. She was a former member of the Apollo Club. She belonged to VFW Post No. 1698 Ladies Auxiliary, the Grange, and was a longtime member of TOPS. She was a longtime fan of the Red Sox and Celtics. She was predeceased by her husband, Maurice A. McAdams, in 1977; and two sons, Charles J. McAdams in 2001 and James McAdams in 1992. Family members include a daughter, Marlene Freyler of Bradford; four grandchildren; and several great grandchildren. SERVICES: A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Saturday at 10 a.m. in St. Paul Church Franklin. Spring burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery.
