Dorothy Brock, 58, passed away December 2, peacefully after a period of declining health. She was surrounded by her loving family.
Dorothy was born April 4, 1965, in Franklin NH to Roger and Norma Laro.
As a child, Dorothy grew up in Andover NH where she enjoyed playing with her younger siblings and her Raggedy Ann and Andy Dolls. She also spent a lot of her time with her favorite pet, a bunny rabbit named Brownie. Dorothy graduated from Merrimack Valley High School in 1983. During her high school years, she enjoyed playing basketball and working at Proctor Academy in the dining hall.
Dorothy met the love of her life, Richard, in January of 1985. 7 months together and they decided to get married. They spent the next 37 years together until he passed away in November 2022.
Unfortunately, in 2001 Dorothy was diagnosed with Stage 4 brain cancer and given 3 months to live. Dorothy’s a fighter and wasn’t about to let that stop her. She was determined to beat it. Dorothy defied all odds and earned the right to be called a Cancer Survivor. She entered the official remission stage in 2004. She was able to live out a lifetime full of memories including watching her children graduate high school, the births of her grandchildren, Tucker and Kinsley; whom she loved more than anything, attend her “baby boy’s” wedding where she got to walk him down the aisle and even dance the Mother/Son dance. Recently, she was able to attend her eldest daughter Amanda’s wedding in October 2023.
Dorothy loved her family. She spent as much time with them as possible. Whether it was sharing laughs around the campfire, trips to the ocean, especially the Nubble Lighthouse, or annual family reunions. She was a spit fire. She wasn't afraid to tell you how it was or how it was going to be. She will be greatly missed by everyone.
Dorothy is predeceased by her husband Richard Brock Sr and her grandparents, Guy and Ione Laro. She is survived by her daughter Amanda and husband Jon , her son Dj and wife Brittany, daughter Jessica, two grandchildren Tucker and Kinsley, her mom and dad Norma and Roger Laro, her sister Roberta and husband Jeffrey, brothers Roger Jr and wife, Kimberly, Matthew and wife, Sara , numerous nieces and nephews, and extended family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 2 Commerce Dr., Suite 210. Bedford, NH 03110.
