Call to Order Flowers by Phone1-877-212-3610 Code: 2001526P Franklin, NH Mrs. Dorothy L. Bowers, 88, of Franklin, formerly of Cheektowaga, NY, died at Concord (NH) Hospital on Oct. 29, 2013. She was born in Jay, ME on June 2, 1925 the daughter of Cyril and Amanda (Cote) Fortier. Mrs. Bowers was raised in Jay later moving to North Tonawanda, NY and to Cheektowaga, NY for 40 years before moving to Franklin in 2011. She was employed at The Holiday Inn in Cheektowaga for 27 years prior to retiring. While in Franklin, she regularly attended the TRIP Center. Mrs. Bowers is the widow of William L. Bowers, Sr. who died in 1975. Family members include her four children, William L. Bowers, Jr. and his wife Karen of Augusta, GA, Marie Thomas and her husband Bob of Phoenix, AZ, Gary Bowers of Depew, NY, and Jay Bowers and his wife Debby of Franklin, NH, 12 grandchildren, many great grandchildren, her brother, Cyril Fortier and his wife Sandy of Depew, NY, and nieces and nephews. A Prayer service will be held Friday (Nov. 1, 13) at 5:00 pm Thibault-Neun Funeral Home, 143 Franklin St., Franklin, NH followed by visiting hours until 7:00 pm.
