Hill, NH.....Doris Claire (Marchand) Hall, 89, formerly of Hill, passed away May, 8, 2014 at the Merrimack County Nursing Home, Boscawen,NH, surrounded by her family and friends. Doris was born April 19, 1925 in Lawrence, MA, daughter of Annette (St. Laurent) Marchand and George Albert Marchand. She was raised in Methuen MA, graduate of Edward F Searles High School, class of 1943. Doris and her family moved to Hill, NH in 1959 becoming a longtime resident. She spent many years working for the United States Census Bureau. Doris was an active member of the Franklin Booster Club, Catholic Daughters of America Court Annie Nesmith, and Franklin Regional Hospital Auxiliary. She also loved her years serving as a Girl Scout Leader. Doris loved to travel and took many overseas trips with her husband and friends to Europe and Africa. She was an avid New England sports fan and enjoyed watching and playing golf. She was a former member of Mojalaki Country Club in Franklin, NH. Doris had a great sense of humor and was always the first to laugh. She enjoyed life and was always up for a good time. She adored all of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren spending much of her time involved in their everyday lives. Each one of them continued to bring a smile to her face even towards the end of her life. Doris was predeceased by husband of 63 years, Walter G Hall Jr.; son, Jeffrey Hall; grandson, Jason Clover; and sister, Lorraine Kidder. She is survived by daughter, Beverly Kidder and husband Alan of Hill, NH; daughter, Doreen Lecaroz and husband Joseph of Newburgh, NY; son, Walter G Hall III and wife Cheryl of Northfield, NH; daughter, Cheryl Clover and husband John of Springfield, VA; daughter, Debra Tobin and husband Peter of Nashua, NH; Daughter- in- Law, Gwendolyn Hall of Franklin, NH; and sister Pauline Buckley of Methuen, MA. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, a great-great grandson, as well as several nieces and nephews. Visiting Hours will be Sunday, May 11, 2014 from 4-6:00 pm at Thibault-Neun Funeral Home, 143 Franklin St. Franklin, NH. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Paul's Church, Franklin, Monday, on May 12th at 9:30 am with burial following at Holy Cross Cemetery.
