Doris Conde

September 7, 1921 — January 22, 2013

Doris Randall Conde passed away at Pine Ridge Manor in Warner on January 22, 2013 after a period of declining health. She was 91 years old. Doris was a woman of natural beauty, usually accompanied by a great smile. She was known for her traditional New England values of stalwart conservativeness, thrift and frugality. She was a woman of few words, more often listening to and observing the more wordy members of the family. She was an outdoor person and did not enjoy the confinement required by her recent need for Dementia care. She would have preferred a long walk, a game of tennis, a day of skiing or a visit to the beach. She is now at peace and free without the constraints of her recent increased confusion brought on by Alzheimer's disease. Doris grew up in Fitchburg, Ma and spent her summers in Lee, NH at the Randall Farm which had been in her family since the 1700's. She graduated from Green Mountain College and the University of NH. She was predeceased by her husband of nearly 60 years, Albert H Conde, with whom she resided for most of that time in Oneida, NY. She was a long time member of the DAR and the Columbian Club in Oneida. She was also predeceased by her grandson, James Randall Conde. Surviving family members include her daughter, Carol Conde Miske of Raleigh, NC, her son, John A Conde and wife Eliza of Northfield, NH, grandchildren Jennifer Miske, John L. Conde and Charles Conde, and great grandchildren, Billy and John O'Connor and Coralie Conde. A family service and burial will be held at the Randall Family Cemetery in Lee at the convenience of the family. Paquette-Neun Funeral Home ( www.neunfuneralhomes.com ) in Northfield is assisting with arrangements.
