Biography NORTHFIELD, NH - David Robert Tracy, 61, Northfield, NH died suddenly February 14th. Born July 23, 1952 in Lebanon, NH, he was the son of Robert J. Tracy and Barbara (Currier) Tracy. David was raised in Franklin, NH and graduated from Franklin High School in 1970 and the New Hampshire Vocational Technical School's Electrical Science program in Belmont, NH in 1972. He became a master electrician and worked for Giguere Electric in Laconia for thirty years specializing in industrial and commercial work. David took pride in his garden which fed the family and friends with vegetables every year. David was an active member of the community and served on the Northfield Fire Department Committee. David was a member and past trustee of the Elks Lodge in Franklin, NH. He was also a member and Secretary of the Men's Auxiliary of the Veterans of Foreign Wars post in Franklin and Adjutant and Treasurer of the Sons of the American Legion post in Tilton, NH and Adjutant of District 7. David gave countless hours to these organizations in addition to donating his time for electrical projects at the lodge and posts. David was also Head cook for the Elks, VFW and American Legion and his culinary skills will be missed by the members as he prepared meals nearly every weekend for various events throughout the year. His prime rib dinners and chicken barbecues were loved by all. If you had one of his meals, you didn't go home hungry. David was predeceased by his younger sister Linda (Tracy) Thurber Morton and younger brother .Timothy Tracy. He is survived by his parents, Robert Tracy of Franklin, NH and Venice, FL and his mother Barbara Tracy of Concord, NH. He is also survived by 2 brothers and 2 sisters, Michael Tracy of Dedham, MA; Maureen Tracy and her partner Kerie Kenison of Dover, NH; Susan Tracy and her partner Al Robertson of Tilton, NH; and Kevin Tracy and his wife Nora of Dover, NH. He is also survived by two nephews and their families, Patrick Thurber and his wife Mariah and children Riley and Bryce; Andrew Thurber and his wife Tina and children Brady and Avery. David will also be missed by special friends Robert Cullen, Marcia Smith and Diane Jordan. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Linda (Tracy) Thurber and Timothy Tracy Scholarship Fund which awards scholarships each year to post-secondary graduates of Franklin High School. Donations may be mailed to the Franklin Savings Bank, 387 Central St., Franklin, NH. Visitation for friends and family will be from 9am - 11am Saturday February 22nd at the Thibault-Neun Funeral Home, 143 Franklin St., Franklin, NH. A memorial service will follow at 11 am at the Funeral home.
