David Shaw

David W. Shaw, Sr., 72, of Northfield, died at Lakes Region General Hospital on March 31, 2016. He was born in Franklin on Oct. 7, 1943 the son of Francis and Margaret (Denish) Shaw. Mr. Shaw was raised in Grafton and resided in Northfield for 27 years. He formerly worked at JP Stevens in Tilton, LW Packard in Ashland, and New Hampton Prep as a custodian. Mr. Shaw last worked at the Northfield Transfer Station prior to retiring 3 years ago. He enjoyed the outdoors especially fishing. Mr. Shaw loved to play cards, country western music, and watching Western movies. Family members include his children, David W. Shaw, Jr. of Northfield and Amy Wiggin of Plymouth, a grandchild, Shyann Shaw of Franklin, a brother, Kenny Shaw of Danbury, 2 sisters, Alice LaChance of Bristol, and Lillian Howlett of Springfield, his former wife, Laura Shaw of Plymouth, and nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held at Park Cemetery in Tilton at a later date. Donations in memory of Mr. Shaw may be made to The NH Humane Society, PO Box 572, Laconia, NH 03246.
