David Huckins

David C. Huckins, 80, of Tilton, NH, died on Aug. 4, 2013. David was born July 21, 1933 in Northfield, NH, one of 14 children to Guy and Blanche (Hawkins) Huckins. He was a building contractor and started Damy Realty which was instrumental in developing the elderly housing in Tilton and Franklin as well as other apartment complexes in Maine, New Hampshire, and Vermont. David was known in the world of antique cars for his beautiful restoration of his Chrysler automobiles. He took great pride in being able to say he restored each one from the frame up. To him, was there any other make of car besides a Chrysler product? David was a former trustee of Iona Savings Bank, a member of the PALS car club, the American Legion Post #49, and the B.P.O.E. #1280. He was a generous man and supported many organizations including Easter Seals of NH. David lovingly leaves his wife Nancy (Davidson) Huckins and his large family that he cherished. They include daughter Bonnie Bleggi and husband Bernard, son David and wife Lisa, son Ronald, son Roland and Michelle, son Brian and wife Carlissa, son Ross Phelps and wife Julie, daughter Katy Brophy and husband Colm, daughter Jill Griffin and husband David, daughter Mary Beaudin and husband Robert, and son Alex Phelps and wife Jodi. Grandchildren include Tim Barnes, Nicholas and Bud Bleggi. Tammie, Dennis, Joseph and Matthew Huckins. Brian Huckins, Julie O'Brien, Jacqulyn Riendeau, Emily Huckins, Chelsea and Aja Huckins, Jason, Shawn and Curtis Huckins. Mackenzie and Avery Phelps. Taylor, Connor and Chandler Reagan. Sawyer and Emerson Brophy. Lauren, Evan and Ben Griffin. Patrick Mosa and Nicholas Beaudin. Lindsey and Sydney Phelps. Great grandchildren include Courtney and Jonathan Barnes. Teagan and Caiden Gamble. Lucy and Audrey Huckins. Addison O'Brien. Liv Riendeau and Shane Huckins. ""Papa"" was looking forward to the births of 3 more great grandchildren later this year. He is also survived by sisters Barbara Cooper and Phyllis Havey. David was predeceased by his first wife, Lucille Bordeau, son Dennis Huckins and brothers Edward, Oscar, Raymond, Philip, Donald, Albert, Robert and Herbert and sisters, Ruth, Mary and Betty.
