Corey A. Vigue, 49, of Andover N.H, passed away at the Jack Byrne Center for Palliative & Hospice Care on Saturday May 17th, 2025 with his children and family around him after a short period of enduring complications of a stroke. Corey was born December 29th 1975 at Laconia Hospital, and was the son of Ernest Vigue and predeceased by his mother Patricia (Neill) Vigue.
Corey was a great son, a father of three, a brother, a cousin, and the ‘cool’ uncle; but most importantly, Corey was a friend to all. He was an observant and empathetic man with a huge heart who always knew what you were feeling, always recognized other people and always made them feel included. He tried to make anything and everything easier for everyone else, even when things didn’t go the way he planned. When he wasn’t passing the time with his family and friends, reminiscing on the past and making a few jokes here and there, Corey stayed particularly busy with his hands. He was a smart man who had lots of knowledge and wisdom, lots of experience in his short time, and could do a little bit of everything. He would often be found messing around with his rc cars/boats, dirt bikes, snowmobiles, chainsaws, and anything else he could get his hands on.
Corey was remarkably crafty and artistic, and when he wasn’t getting his hands dirty taking things apart and putting them back together; he could always be found creating impressive and intriguing pieces of art that were always sure to leave an impact and make a statement whether it was a drawing, painting, or some sort of sculpture. If you left a pen and a piece of paper next to him, he would leave you with some sort of masterpiece by the time he left.
He could turn objects into things other people could never think of, or never want to take the time to do. As an avid collector, he always had the treasures, parts and pieces to make just about anything he put his mind to. Corey found beauty in all things, taking the time to appreciate even the simple things of nature which he was also a collector of. He would often give thoughtful gifts of the things he created or collected, even if it was just a couple rocks; which he happened to really admire as well.
He especially always recognized the beauty and stressed the importance of music, another form of art Corey was profoundly fond of. His extremely wide variety of music paved the way for him in his day to day life. As a guitar player himself, from the Grateful Dead to Korn, wherever Corey was; there was sure to be some sort of a tune playing. Music was his medicine, and the fuel that kept him going.
Corey is survived by his three children Caleb Vigue, Braden Vigue and s/o Halie Turner, Kaitlyn Vigue; father, Ernest Vigue; sister, Christina (Vigue) Thompson and husband, John Thompson; granddaughter, Paisley Vigue; and girlfriend, Danyelle Nevin. Corey is survived by many cousins, nephews, nieces, and a whole lot of great friends he has met along the way that will always let his memory live on throughout them.
Please come and join us for Corey’s celebration of life at the Franklin Elks Lodge, 125 South Main St. in Franklin NH on June 15th, 2025, from 1 p.m. - 6 p.m.
