Constance Wallace

Constance (Connie) M. Wallace, 84, formerly of Northfield died peacefully at Franklin Regional Hospital on August 16, 2015 surrounded by her family. She was born in St. Johnsbury, VT and lived in the Tilton/Northfield area for 55 years. She attended schools in Vermont graduating from Lyndon Institute Class of 1949. She was the daughter of Gordon R. Wallace and Iva Flynn. Connie worked at the A & P in Tilton when her children were young and started in the catering business in 1963 continuing this work until her mid-70's when she moved to her new little home in Jensen's where she enjoyed her leisure time, was able to work in her garden and have more time for family, friends, and her beloved grandchildren. She will be deeply missed by many and is survived by her siblings Barbara Cook, Bessie Loomis and Jeanne Miner. She was predeceased by her brother Raymond Wallace. Other family includes her children: Lynn McElroy and husband James of Gilmanton, Susan Porter and husband Mark of Sanbornton, Leslie Rose and husband Tim of Northfield, Paul Michael Avery of Waynesburg, KY and Corinne Avery of Loudon, NH. Grandchildren are Amanda Rotonnelli (David) of Sanbornton, Garth McElroy (Megan) of Anson, ME, Ian McElroy (Jodi) of Belmont, Celia Avery (Daniel Hill) of Belmont, Aaron Avery currently serving in the US Air Force in Kuwait, and Taylor Gray of Concord, NH. Additional grandchildren are Brandon Rose of Tilton, Nicole Rose of Northfield, and Edward Rose of Groton. Great grandchildren are Ethan Avery and Brycen Hill, Kelsey Rotonnelli, Jordyn and Tristan McElroy, Thad Wallace McElroy, Rajon Gray, Gabriela Castrillon, Bradyn Rose, Julia, Colby and Alex Rose. Special thanks to the staff members of Mountain Ridge who cared for Connie and became like family members.
