Charles Plummer

Northfield, NH.. Charles F. Plummer, Sr., 84, of Northfield, died at Hospice House in Concord after a brief illness on May 7, 2010. He was born in Tilton the son of George & Cassie (Griffin) Plummer and resided in the Tilton-Northfield area all of his life. Mr. Plummer graduated from Tilton-Northfield High School. After serving in the US Army, he worked for 36 years at Arwood Corp. until retiring in 1988. Charles enjoyed reading newspapers, listening to local radio programs, and following Boston sports teams. He most enjoyed his family, their children and grandchildren, and took a very big interest in their lives. He was predeceased by a daughter, Judith Kimball who died in 1989, and a son, Lawrence Plummer who died in 2008. Family members include his wife of 58 years, Mary (Filgate) Plummer, daughter Joan Plummer of Franklin, son Charles Jr. and his wife Louise Plummer of Northfield, son William Plummer of Dover, a sister, Irene Paul of Northfield, 7 grandchildren, and 8 nieces and nephews. Funeral services and burial in Park Cemetery, Tilton will be private. Donations in memory of Mr. Plummer may be made to CRVNA Hospice House, 240 Pleasant St., Concord, NH 03301, or to a charity of one's choice.
