Charles Little

Northfield, NH? Charles E. Little, 83, of Northfield, died on April 1, 2010 at Franklin Regional Hospital. He was born in Contoocook on Aug. 23, 1926 the son of Burton and Emmie Little. During World War II, Mr. Little served as a coxswain in the US Navy seeing action in the Pacific including Iwo Jima. He was aboard the USS Yancey and was present during the Japanese surrender ceremonies. He received several service awards. Mr. Little was a farmer and logger most of his life and in later years worked as a foreman at various jobs. Family members include his wife of 48 years, Ramona (Henderson) Little, 3 children, grandchildren, great and great great grandchildren, a sister, Alice Mancini of Concord, and many other relatives and friends. Visiting hours will be held Monday, April 5th from 6-8:00 pm at Paquette-Neun Funeral Home, 104 Park St., Northfield. Graveside funeral services will be held Tuesday April 6th at 1:00 pm in Park Cemetery, W. Main St., Tilton. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Mr. Little may be made to The Veterans' Place, 220 Vine St., Northfield, VT 05663.
