Charles Edward Cilley

Charles Edward Cilley, 87, of Winnisquam, NH, passed away on December 11, 2023. He was born on February 8, 1936, in Hill, NH. Charles was a beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and long-time partner to Margaret Dunn.
Charles was known for his great sense of humor and love for country music. In his younger days, he earned the nickname "spaghetti legs" for his smooth dance moves. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and traveling. Charles had a fulfilling career, previously working at Lemay's Recon Center in Gilford, NH, and later at Aavid Engineering in Laconia, NH.
He is survived by his long-time girlfriend, Margaret Dunn, and his three sons: Dorrance E. Cilley and wife Robin Cilley of Concord, NH; Dexter G. Cilley of Laconia, NH; and Charles R. Cilley of Gilford, NH. Charles also leaves behind three grandchildren: Jodi Nugent and husband Kevin Nugent of Belmont, NH; Jason Cilley of Concord, NH; and Christian Cilley of Gilmanton, NH. Additionally, he is survived by two great-grandchildren: Dylan Cain of Concord, NH, and Conner Nugent of Belmont, NH. Charles was preceded in death by his wife, Marjory E. (Avery) Cilley, his brother Howard A. Cilley, and his sisters Viola Keith and Jeannette Hannan.
There will be no memorial services, and a private family burial will take place in the spring. In memory of Mr. Cilley, donations can be made to the Franklin VNA and Hospice at 75 Chestnut Street, Franklin, NH 03235.
