Carol Hibbert, 77, of Franklin, died at Concord Hospital on Dec. 3, 2020 after a long, hard fought battle with cancer. She was born in Franklin on Dec. 29, 1942, the daughter of Harry and Geraldine (Tilton) Arel. She was a lifelong resident of the Lakes Region area.
Carol was employed as a hairdresser and a cook for many years. She was formerly employed by Mountain Ridge, LRGH and The Veteran's Home, which she retired from. She enjoyed part of her retirement traveling with her son and his family.
Carol was predeceased by her brother, David J Arel, 2006; her mother, Geraldine Arel, 2015; her father, Harry Arel, 1972; and her ex-husband, Charles Hibbert, 2003. She is survived by her son, Charles Hibbert; his wife Maria; two grandsons, Chaz and Matthew; niece Erin Arel; and nephew Travis Arel and his wife April; all from Northfield; ex sister-in-law, Kathy Sheffield of Concord, part time care giver, Edward Ast, along with numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Per Carol's request, there are to be no services. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the NH Veterans Home. 139 Winter St., Tilton, 03276.
