Bertran "Bert" N. Metcalf, Jr., 46, of Concord, died at Concord Hospital on Aug. 23, 2017 following a brief illness.
He was born in Montpelier, VT on Jan. 28, 1971 the son of Bertran N. Metcalf, Sr. and Jacqueline (Erskine) Metcalf.
Bert was well known in the Concord area as a kind and caring person, especially to those less fortunate. He has worn many hats in his life including caring for the mentally challenged adults,
Internet marketing and IT support. He traveled the US for work but also to see as much as he could see. Bert was very carefree and never let anyone or anything define him.
His love for people as well as animals was constant. His smile was infectious and will always be remembered by anyone that truly knew and loved him.
Family members include two sisters: Robin Iliopoulos and husband Kostas, and Laura Cleaves and husband Michael, nieces and nephews Tonah Clairmont, Kristos Iliopoulos, Allyson McCarthy and husband Brendon, and Zachary Cleaves and wife Samantha, aunt, Phyllis Blanchard, and aunts and uncles.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Bert may be made to Riverbend Community Health, 278 Pleasant St., Concord, NH 03301.
Thibault-Neun Funeral Home in Franklin is assisting with arrangements.
