Bertha Aline Swett (90), of 267 Smith Hill Road, Franklin, NH, passed away peacefully at home on April 3, 2015 after a long illness. Born and raised in Laconia, NH, she was a daughter of George and Anna Pelchat. She leaves behind her husband of 69 years, Merton Swett; her son Dennis and his wife, Sylvia of Franklin, NH; twin daughters: Diane Juthe and her husband, Kendall of Londonderry, NH; Donna Lepage and her husband, Victor of Shrewsbury, MA; daughter-in-law, Elaine Swett of Albany, NH,and her sister, Lorraine Vangjel Warfield of Laconia, NH. Grandchildren include Wendy Brulotte, Jason Swett, Ryan and Derek Salvato, Shea and Benjaman Swett. She is also survived by several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Bertha was predeceased by her daughter, Dorothy; her son, Eric; her brother, Ernest; and her sisters, Arlene and Rollande. She was an active and passionate member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Her love for others was constantly displayed through her actions and daily examples. Bertha reached out in countless ways through visitation, writing letters, and service. She was a lifelong learner, and in her later years, volunteered as a tutor to help adults improve their reading skills. Visiting hours will be held Tuesday, April 7, 2015 from 6-8 pm at Thibault-Neun Funeral Home, 143 Franklin St., Franklin, NH. Funeral services will be held at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 90 Clinton St., Concord on Wednesday at 11 am. Spring burial will be in Franklin Cemetery.
