Barbara Ann Desbiens, 73, of Franklin, passed away at her home on December 20, 2021.

Born in Framingham, MA on June 25, 1948, Barbara was the daughter of the Walter and Mae (Sample) Bradley. After earning her B.A. in Social Work from SNHU, she spent twenty years working with children, youth, and families. Settling in Florida in the late 80s. In 2003, she and her husband, Peter M. Desbiens, moved back to New Hampshire to be closer to family.

Barbara was a people person and was known for her ability to strike up a conversation with anyone. She was a keen baker for many years, and loved to share her passion with family, friends, coworkers, and strangers. A lifelong music lover, she often found comfort in listening to country and gospel.

She is survived by her loving husband, Peter M. Desbiens of Franklin; her daughter Suzanne Whitney and partner John Yarbrough, Jr. of Belmont; her two grandchildren, Julie-Anne Whitney and her wife Bess Moser of Somerville, MA, and Robert J. Saulnier, III of Laconia; and her brother, John and wife Carol Bradley. Barbara was predeceased by her beloved son, Robert J. Saulnier, Jr.; her parents, her brother Walter Bradley, Jr., and her sister Gail Donnellan.

A Celebration of Barbara's life will be held at a later date. Donations in memory of Barbara may be made to the Crisis Center of Central New Hampshire, a non-profit organization devoted to ending domestic and sexual violence in Merrimack County.
