Arthur B. Nelson

June 23, 1925 — June 6, 2018

Arthur B. Nelson, 92, of Boscawen, died at Merrimack County Nursing Home on June 6, 2018.



He was born in Weymouth, MA on June 23, 1925 the son of Anton and Mae Rhoda (Karton) Nelson.  Mr. Nelson resided in Boscawen for many years.  He served in the US Army.



He formerly worked at RT Watkins Co. in Amesbury, MA and later at Pike Industries in Hooksett prior to retiring.

Mr. Nelson enjoyed the outdoors especially hunting.  He was a life member of North American Hunting Club and a charter member of Fred Bear Hunting Club.  He was a life member of the Hooksett American Legion.

Mr. Nelson was predeceased by his wife, Helen Mae (Hanscom) Nelson who died in 2016, a son, Alan B. Nelson who died in 2004, and a grandson, Mark Alan Nelson who died in 2014.



Family members include his daughter-in-law, Bonnie Nelson Wyss and husband Carl of Boscawen, stepdaughter, JoAnn Keates of NC, 6 grandchildren including Steven Nelson and his wife Sonia of Franklin,  a sister, Alice Russell and a brother, Willie Nelson, both of Canterbury,  great grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.



A Celebration of life for Mr. Nelson will be held on Saturday,  June 9, 2018 at the home of Steven & Sonia Nelson, 4 Beaumier Dr., Franklin (off Prospect St.) beginning at 4:00 pm.

A private graveside service will be at Maple Grove Cemetery at a later date.
