Annabelle Bentley

November 9, 1928 — March 30, 2016

Annabelle Bentley, 87, of Franklin, died at Mtn. Ridge Health Care Center on March 30, 2016. Annabelle was born in Nov. 9, 1928 in Indianapolis, daughter of Theodore and Parthenia Williams. In her younger days, she was employed at a Steak 'n Shake Restaurant in Illinois. She would meet and make friends that would last for her lifetime. She moved to Franklin with her family in 1969 and was employed at Watts Regulator until retiring in 1993. Annabelle loved to knit and crochet for her family. She was a great cook and always looked forward holidays and get-togethers. She liked crossword puzzles, the Daily Jumble, and was a huge St. Louis Cardinal fan. Annabelle also enjoyed movies, James Gardner, Dean Martin, and Johnny Carson. Some of Annabelle's favorite memories were visiting her hometown, Brazil, IN, her first time flying on a trip to Georgia to visit family, and attending a Brooks & Dunn concert at Meadowbrook. She loved to take rides in her son's old Monte Carlo. Seeing her grand and great grandchildren would always light up her life so very much. Annabelle was a strong-willed woman who instilled into her own family good values and morals along with all her most honorable traits: honesty, respect, self-control, empathy, and kindness. She will remain in our thoughts and in our hearts forever. Annabelle was predeceased by two children, Randy Reum and Roberta Ann Hensley. Family members include her children, Nancy, Walter, Howard, and Andy, many grandchildren, and great grandchildren, and 2 special nieces, Pat Kendall and Joanne McNeil. A funeral service will be held Tuesday, April 5, 2016 at 10 am at Thibault-Neun Funeral Home, 143 Franklin St., Franklin. Burial will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105. For an online guestbook, please visit www.neunfuneralhomes.com
