TILTON----- Alfred A. Weissensee, 80, passed away on August 16th, 2024, at the New Hampshire Veterans Home in Tilton.
Fred was born on December 27th, 1943, in New York City, NY son of the late Alfred and Anne (Dowd) Weissensee.
Fred served in the Air Force from 1965 to 1986, retiring with the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. He received his Bachelor of Business Administration from Manhattan College through the Air Force Reserve Officers Trainings Corp in 1965 and then a Master of Business Administration with a major in Accounting from the University of Bridgeport in 1972. His military career took him to California, Connecticut, Thailand, Loas, Cambodia, Maryland, and to Massachusetts.
Following his distinguished military service, Fred continued to serve as a Sub-Contracts Manager with GTE, to oversee the Army’s new worldwide cellular mobile communications system.
In his retirement, Fred enjoyed reading, playing golf and traveling.
Fred is survived by his son Jeff and his wife Jennifer Weissensee of Cohasset, MA, his son Brian and his wife Tara Weissensee of Milford, NH, and his son Tom and his wife Allison Weissensee of Ashburnham, MA. Beloved grandfather of Loryn, Lukas, Benajamin, Gabriel, Aidan, Thomas, and Kaelyn.
A private graveside service will be held at the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery, Boscawen, NH.
