Albert D. Chartier, 70, of Franklin, passed away on June 20, 2019 after a period of failing health.
He was born in Newport, NH on May 22, 1949 to William and Frances (DeCosta) Chartier. He was raised in Newport, one of five children.
Family members include four daughters : Katie Lemieux, Angela Livingstone, Candace Emery, and Kelsey Emery, four sons: Albert Chartier, Jr., Christopher Chartier, James Simoneau, and John Simoneau. Also included are three grandchildren, Caylee Livingstone, Jackson Stanton, and Zoey Colburn.
Al fought in the Vietnam War from Aug. 26, 1966 returning the U.S. on May 8, 1969.
He spent many years as a tow truck operator. He enjoyed watching old show on TV, and spending time with his children and grandchildren as well as friends and neighbors. Al will be missed by all her knew him.
A celebration of life in his honor will be held July 27, 2019 from 12-4:00 pm at the Bessie Rowell Community Center, 12 Rowell Dr., Franklin.
