Abbigail Jean Cornell

Abbigail “Abby” Jean Dukette-Cornell was a kind-hearted soul who cherished her roles as a daughter, mother, and friend. She peacefully departed this world on June 15th 2024 at 12:30 am, surrounded by those she held most dear, after bravely battling Glioblastoma.
Abby was born on November 6th, 1983, to Cheryl Ordway of Franklin, NH, and Ricky Dukette of Andover, NH. She graduated from Franklin High School in 2001, where she was known for her passion for softball. Later in life she continued her love for sports by coaching numerous teams and playing adult co-ed softball.
Abby was a dedicated mother to her three daughters, Alyssa, Brooke, and Lily. She was preceded in death by her husband Shawn Cornell who died on June 28th, 2016.
Left to cherish her memory are her mother and step-father, Cheryl and Dennis Ordway, her father and step-mother, Ricky and Miriam Dukette, her oldest daughter Alyssa Cornell and her partner Jakob Beaupre, her younger daughters Brooke Cornell, and Lily Cornell. She is also survived by her siblings Patrick Dukette of Denver, CO, Jennifer Dimond of Bow, NH, and Christine Murray of Salisbury, NH, along with her mother-in-law Lorrie Dubia of Franklin, NH. Abby leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and dear friends, including Jenny Adams and Donna Kurinskas of Franklin, NH.
Abby found great fulfillment in her work at the New Hampshire Veterans Home, where she served for 17 years as an LNA and schedule coordinator. She was deeply committed to her colleagues and patients, also serving as Union President advocating tirelessly on their behalf.
While Abby's passing brings profound sadness, she would want us to remember her joyful moments and live life to the fullest. Her adventurous spirit and zest for life were an inspiration to all who knew her.
A private burial for immediate family will be held with details to follow. Calling hours will be at Thibault-Neun Funeral Home 143 Franklin St. Franklin NH, 03235 on Friday, June 21, 2024 from 5:00 – 8:00 pm and a celebration of life will be held on Sunday, June 30, 2024 from 1:00 - 4:00 pm at Franklin VFW Post 1698, 26 Peabody Place, Franklin.
