Michael Danforth

Laconia, NH Michael Alan Danforth (MAD), 59, of Laconia NH, passed away following a long period of failing health, on Friday February 7th 2014. Michael was born in Springfield VT but later relocated with his family to Franklin NH where he grew up. He was the son of Richard and Helen (Zelent) Danforth and one of seven children. Michael loved to travel and lived in many different places during his life. He was an avid outdoorsman and was known for his green thumb. He enjoyed riding motorcycles, playing guitar and woodworking. He also had a love for Native American culture. Michael was survived by his three children, Shane Danforth of Georgia, Tonya Walsh of Laconia and Heather Lemieux of Tilton and six siblings, Gene Danforth of Danbury, Sandy Redfield of Laconia, Rick Danforth of Tilton, Marie Gnere of Bristol, David Danforth of Kentucky and Tom Danforth of Franklin. Calling hours will be held Wednesday February 12th from 5-7pm at the Paquette-Neun Funeral Home, 104 Park St Northfield. A private burial will be held in the spring.
