Penacook – Roberta (Bobbie) Helen Howe Mandrey passed away on Sunday, September 23, 2018 at the Merrimack County Nursing Home which was her home for the past 5 years.

Bobbie was born May 17, 1940 at Franklin Hospital.  The daughter of George Frederic and Kathleen May Howe.  She grew up at 568 Central Street in Franklin, NH with her sisters Nancy Jean, Mary Ann and Kathleen Marion.  Bobbie graduated from Franklin High School in 1959.

After graduating from Franklin High School in 1959 Mum worked at Sprague Electric. Bobbie married Richard Earl Mandrey in December of 1962.  Together they raised 3 children, Pati, Rick & Sue, living in lower Boscawen.   Mum loved being a mother and homemaker.   She enjoyed growing vegetables and taught her children how to manage a garden and can vegetables.  Knitting, baking, embroidery & organization were just a few of her talents.  She was an excellent seamstress and made all of her families clothing including swimwear & winter jackets.  This skill was turned into a home-based seamstress business where she did alterations, made custom clothing and draperies.

As her family got older, Mom became a CNA at the Merrimack County Nursing Home.  She then went on to be an Auditor at the New Hampshire Department of Administrative Services and a Payroll Manager for the New Hampshire Department of Corrections.

Bobbie was predeceased by her sister, Nancy Howe.

Mom will be deeply missed by her children Patricia Edwards and her husband Stephen, of Penacook; Richard Mandrey of Andover and Susan Mandrey of Derry.

Her Grandchildren; Michael, David, Marie, Diane, Joseph, Candace & Corinna and her 6 Great-grandchildren.

Her sisters and their families – Mary and Bill Moran of Concord and Kathleen Adams of Epsom.  Bobbie was loved by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and their families.

She will be greatly missed by the love of her life & cherished companion of 20+ years, Robert Hutchinson, “Hutchy” of Andover; his children, Ricky, Karen, and Cindy and their families.

Bobbie will be fondly remembered for her kind and thoughtful way with all people and everyone she knew.
