Arthur Charles Paradis of Canterbury, New Hampshire departed this earth bound for Andromeda West; his euphemism for that journey we are all going to take, on Saturday, July 20, 2019. Born August 15, 1938, he was the second oldest of seven siblings born to Arthur and Claire Paradis of Lowell, Massachusetts. He grew up and raised his family in Pelham, New Hampshire. He leaves behind a loving family: his wife of 59 years, the former Muriel Bedard; three children, daughter Renee, son Scott and daughter Luree, a daughter-in-law Lisa and a son-in-law John Seeler and three wonderful grandchildren Merideth, Mitchell; and Ethan; siblings: sister Janine and husband Bob Pellerin of Saco, ME, brother Roger and wife Joan of Pittsfield, MA, brother Charles and wife Karen of Londonderry, NH, brother Dick and wife Mary of Pelham, NH, sister Dorothy and husband Ed Kennedy of Walnut Creek, CA and brother Gerald and wife Debbie of Tyngsboro, MA; in-laws, and a growing number of nieces and nephews and their children, and the faith community of Saint Mary of the Assumption in Tilton, New Hampshire. An Air Force veteran, Arthur worked in aerospace with Raytheon Corporation for nearly three decades. Then he went to work in information technologies with Wang Corporation. Along the way he picked up bachelors and masters degrees in computer science and business. He rounded out his professional career as a college instructor teaching computer science with Southern New Hampshire University. Ever a dreamer, Arthur always had grand plans and pursued varied interests. He coached little league baseball when his son played baseball. He learned to harness race and actively care for horses when his youngest daughter took to fancying horses. And he learned to fly when his oldest daughter took to aviation as a career path. A voracious reader, learning until the end, he would think it remarkable or perhaps it was intentional that he passed on the 50th anniversary of the Apollo 11 Moon Landing.
