John Healy

John J. Healy died April 9, 2013, after a year-long struggle with lung cancer. Born at Chelsea Naval Hospital on May 7, 1942, John lived with his family in Malden, Massachusetts and was a member of the Immaculate Conception Parish in Malden. He graduated from the Immaculate Conception Grammar School, Malden Catholic High School and the University of Massachusetts in Amherst. After completing one year of law school, he entered military service, following which he worked primarily for defense contractors: Raytheon, Sanders Associates, Apollo Computer, Digital Equipment Corporation, Hewlett Packard and retired from the State of New Hampshire. John enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, eating a good piece of pie and engaging in lively conversation. A former race car driver, he spent many fun hours behind the wheel of his silver corvette taking in the scenery and touring with the Lakes Region Corvette Club. Always young at heart, John took great pleasure in his model railroad and building the ultimate basement railroad set up. He will be remembered as a man who lived his life ""full speed ahead,"" a loving and kind husband to both Ellen and then Daryl, a supportive and devoted father, and a true friend. He was predeceased by his parents, John J. and Viola T. (Jadis) Healy, and his first wife Ellen Healy, who died in 1997. He leaves his loving wife, Daryl J. (Preve), and two daughters, by his first marriage, Mary Ellen and Elizabeth and her husband Scott, brother Paul and his wife Joanne, brother Peter, sister Donna and her husband Peter, and several nieces and nephews. Visiting hours will be held on Monday, April 15, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Paquette-Neun Funeral Home, 104 Park Street, Northfield, NH. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Tuesday, April 16, at 10:00 a.m. at Saint Paul's church, 110 School Street, Franklin, NH. Interment of his ashes will be at Blossom Hill Cemetery, 207 North State Street, Concord, NH. In lieu of flowers, donations in John's memory may be made to Saint Paul's Church, P.O.
