Edward W. Elliott

d. July 17, 2023

Edward W. Elliott aka EZ ED joined his heavenly family on July 17 at his home in Franklin. He was born in Littleton NH to Martin and Evelyn Elliott but would always call his step father, Curtis I Stockford his dad. We were a small nuclear family with many somewhat distant cousins. Ed is survived by his sister, Donna Champagne-Patten of Franklin along with her husband Ronald Patten and their children, Twyla, Christopher, Stephanie, Kelly, Ron Jr., Angela and Karl, their plus 1's and our grandchildren.  Ed loved his nieces and nephews and celebrated their wins and sympathized with their losses. He also leaves a close cousin, William Ellis, of Allenstown NH. The stories I could tell....

Ed attended Pembroke Academy and was very proud of his service in the Navy. He loved his country music and was a proficient guitar player and vocalist. He started playing for tips at 11 years old.  It was often said his covers of Merle Haggard were almost indistinguishable.  Of course, a country musician likes his bars and so did Ed. Around the Lakes Region Ed is often remembered for his pool playing and darts and he had the trophies to prove it. Ed had a heart as big as the moon and despite his demon, alcohol, he is remembered fondly by most who knew him.  He would literally give you the shirt off his back or stand back-to-back with you in a fight.

After a brief marriage Ed swore never to marry again. While that may be true the last 47 years, he has had a loving companion, Patricia Rogers, and her family to call his own and he did. Patricia had 4 children, Greg, Ray, Tim and Karen. From taking her granddaughter, Sabrina, camping, to walking Karen down the aisle, he shared their life. He could be as proud or angry as any dad and he enjoyed the relationships. He also enjoyed spending time with Patricias brother, Robert Plummer and special friends Scott and Connie Stanley as well as the other grandchildren including Katelyn and Shawn Peters.

Ed will be interred at the Franklin Cemetery beside his mom and dad as he wished on August 17th at 1130 am. The Thibault-Neun Funeral Home oversees the interment.  A Celebration of Life will be held at the VFW in Franklin at 12:00 -2:00 pm. Please join us.
