Gloria M. (Clark) CroteauJuly 8, 1930 ~ August 13, 2017 (age 87)
It is with great sadness that we say good-bye to our loving mother, nana, sister, aunt and friend. Gloria M. Croteau, 87, a longtime Franklin resident, became our angel in heaven on Aug. 13, 2017 after declining health while receiving care at Pleasant View Center in Concord.
She was born in Franklin on July 8, 1930 the daughter of Maltheno C. Clark and Helen (Roach) Clark. While in her later years she resided in Tilton and then Concord, she was raised in Franklin and was a graduate of Franklin High School, Class of 1948.
Gloria was employed at Franklin Regional Hospital for 30 years, working in the Radiology Department prior to her retirement in 2003. She was very active in her community, including being a member of the Franklin Regional Hospital Auxiliary, Franklin VFW Auxiliary, a Serendipity Singer, a volunteer at City of Franklin elections and the local soup kitchen, Bread and Roses. Gloria was a communicant and served as a Eucharistic Minister at St. Paul Church and a member of the former Catholic Daughters of America Court Annie Nesmith. She was predeceased by her husband, Roger J. Croteau in December 1995.
Family members include her son, Richard Croteau and his wife Angelika of Fairbanks, AK, 3 daughters, Charlene Jerome of North Sutton, Arline Hutchins and husband James of Gilford, and Kandie Hale and husband Scott of Andover, MA, 11 grandchildren including the granddaughter she raised Aimee Giglio and husband AJ, 4 great grandchildren, 2 sisters, JoAnne Stevens of Belmont and Linda LaPierre of Franklin, and several nieces and nephews. It meant the world to Gloria to spend time with her family and friends.
Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, Aug. 17, 2017 from 5-8:00 pm at Thibault-Neun Funeral Home, 143 Franklin St., Franklin. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, Aug. 18, 2017 at 11 am in St. Paul Church of St. Gabriel Parish, School St., Franklin. Burial will follow in Franklin Cemetery.
Her family is deeply grateful for the exceptional care she received while at Pleasant View Center. The staff cared for her as if she was part of their family.
