Franklin, NH -- Lawrence A. Menard, 74, of Franklin, died at Franklin Regional Hospital on March 1, 2013.

He was born in Franklin on May 24, 1938 the son of Armand and Rita (Garneau) Menard and resided in Franklin all of his life. Larry served in the US Army from 1955 until 1958.

Larry was employed for over 30 years as a tool and die maker at IPC in Bristol and Ashland until retiring. He was a member of AA for 29 years and sponsored and mentored many members along the way. Larry was a member of the Knights of Columbus and parishioner of St. Paul Church. He and his wife, Ellie, played golf several years ago at Mojalaki Country Club.

Family members include his wife of 52 years, Ellie (Brown) Menard of Franklin, 2 daughters: Ronica Clark and her husband Alan of Rochester, WA, and Kari Vollenweider and her husband Rich of Mamaroneck, NY, 5 grandchildren: Jen Clark, Jayce Perkins, Renee Perkins, Rachel Vollenweider, and Zachary Vollenweider, 2 sisters: Gloria Davis of Franklin and Marie Straw of Tilton, a brother, Gene Menard of Franklin, and nieces and nephews.

Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, March 5, 13 from 5-8:00 pm at Thibault-Neun Funeral Home, 143 Franklin St., Franklin. Funeral services will be Wednesday, March 6th at 10 am in the funeral home. Spring burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery. Donations in memory of Larry may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
